The Love Sub is an Art
Car in the finest
Burning Man tradition.

Built, designed, lovingly
manhandled and kneaded into being by Wilks Wilkinson (Los Angeles, CA)
and Marshall Clark (Davis, CA) over a period of 3 years...

It is a constantly
evolving mechanical canvas,
it is a mobile chillout zone, a make-out room, a hang space.

It moves at an earth shattering
3 1/2 mph and makes you realize that the destination and the
journey are truly and uniquely rolled into one when riding in this wonderful
machine.

Built in a restored 1958 Airstream
Traveler trailer,
the interior
is painted rich red.

Here's some folk
hanging out in it during the BM Decompression 2003 in San Francisco.

There are no traditional residential
appliances, tables, bathroom etc, just smooth curved walls and
a super comfortable velvet covered bench at both ends. This is what it
looks like now in 2004. Pardon the playa dust :)

It is a red safe warm and comfortable
place to hang out and get your breath back when out on
the playa with all the bling bling lights and noise and alkaline dust that characterizes
Burning Man.

Unusually for a trailer, it
is self-propelled. Yep, no tow vehicle! Here's Marshall driving it at
BM 2004.
